For the Love of Things (FLoT) is fully committed to protecting your privacy. We want to provide a safe and secure experience for you, so we are committed to only using your data as set out in this policy.
You can request what information is held about you and why and ask for rectifications or for information to be erased. If you’re not happy with any aspect of how we collect and use your data, you have the right to complain to the ICO. We would be grateful if you’d contact us first if you do have a complaint so that we can try to resolve it for you.
By providing us with your data, you warrant to us that you are over 18 years of age.

Your data
Information you provide to FLoT is used to reply to your enquiry, or as part of a standard working relationship to enable decluttering and organising services to be provided. Information is GDPR compliant and confidential and will not be given to third parties without your consent, it will be saved as permitted or required by law or by relevant regulatory authorities.
Data may include:
- Identity data (your name, surname)
- Contact data (your address where applicable, phone number, email address)
- Financial data (your bank details and payment card details)
- Transaction data (details about payments between us)
Sensitive Data and working practices
We may collect the following sensitive data about you in order to deliver services specifically tailored to your needs. This information may include:
- Relevant physical/ mental health issues
- Relevant religious/ cultural information relating to beliefs about your belongings
- The names and/or details of partners/ children/ dependents or pets in the property.
Where we are required to collect personal data by law, or under the terms of the contract between us and you, if you don’t provide us with the requested data, we may not be able to perform the contract (for example, to deliver services to you).
All items removed from your premises or disposed of will be with your agreement and at your discretion. You are responsible for all items disposed of in the decluttering process.
All advice given by FLoT is given in good faith. We cannot accept responsibility for any subsequent decisions taken by you either during or after a session.
Fees * There will be no hidden costs.
- Free optional 30min consultation (phone/in person)
- £45 p/hr (bookings are generally minimum two-hour sessions)
Payment terms are by deposit and final invoice
Payments are via bank transfer or cash
I will email my invoice within days following our session
Full payment is required within a month of the receipt of the invoice
Cancellation
Please note that we all end up in exceptional or unavoidable circumstances from time to time and we understand that you may have to cancel. We would be really grateful and urge you to try to give us 48 hours’ notice where possible. This allows us to make other arrangements.
Insurance and ethics
For the Love of Things is covered by Professional Indemnity and Public Liability Insurance to a value of £1 million. For the Love of Things is registered with the ICO (Information Commissioner’s Office) and a full member of APDO (Association of Professional Declutterers and Organisers) and fully adheres to APDO’s code of ethics.
